The AFIOM Wega IIa is a rare Italian Leica copy, today extremely hard to find in such well-preserved, original condition. Built with characteristic AFIOM workmanship, it reflects the design and mechanics of early Leica screw-mount cameras.

This example is in good, original, age-appropriate condition, showing typical wear on the body. The leather covering is lifting in several areas, something commonly seen on AFIOM cameras. The camera was intentionally left in completely original condition, without any gluing or restoration.

The Trixar Anastigmat 3.5/50mm lens shows cleaning marks and dust, but with no effect on imaging performance. Its beautiful blue coating is well preserved. The rangefinder is working, although hard to see because both the viewfinder and rangefinder windows show light fogging. A truly authentic, original example of this rare camera.
