Leica M6 0,72 Black 1986 Near MINT

Discover the legendary Leica M6, a 0.72 magnification rangefinder camera from 1986, presented here in a rare 'Near Mint' condition. This particular model is an early 'ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH' version, built in Wetzlar during the first production year before the factory relocated to Solms. It has been used only a handful of times by its previous owner, reflecting its exceptional preservation. The camera is fully functional, with all shutter speeds running cleanly and accurately, and the light meter operating perfectly. This is an opportunity to acquire a piece of photographic history that combines impeccable build quality with timeless design.

Condition

Info Details
Optical condition: Near Mint condition with barely visible signs of use. Minor cosmetic marks are present above the strap lugs and on the battery compartment cover.
Notes: This is an early 'ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH' version from 1986, from the first production year, still built in Wetzlar before the factory moved to Solms. It was used only a handful of times by the previous owner.
Function: Fully functional. All shutter speeds run cleanly and accurately. The light meter operates flawlessly.
Viewfinder: The viewfinder is clear, with well-visible frame lines and a precise rangefinder patch. When viewed against strong LED backlight, a minimal dust particle and a very slight haze layer are detectable. This is too minor to warrant cleaning, as it has no influence on function and the camera remains in absolutely original condition. This is typical for a camera that has been stored in its box for decades.
