Leitz Elcan 1.8/57mm 133-00002 PROTOTYPE Mod. Sony E
The Leitz Elcan 1.8/57mm 133-00002 PROTOTYPE is an extremely rare prototype lens originating from the industrial–military Elcan environment. Its original purpose is unknown. The lens features a very heavy, solid construction and has been adapted to Sony E-mount, covering APS-C. Focusing and aperture operate without scales, complemented by a focus-lock ring. A special characteristic is the presence of two separate serial numbers, reinforcing its prototype nature.
The optics have been cleaned. Former fungus traces on the inner side of the front element left coating damage that visually resembles remaining fungus, although the fungus was fully removed. The coating damage is not known to affect image quality.
