Mentor Mentorett w. Meyer Trioplan 2.9/7.5cm MINT
The Mentor Mentorett is an exceptionally rare Dresden-made TLR, produced in very small numbers – especially in combination with the Meyer Trioplan 2.9/7.5cm lens. This configuration is highly sought-after and delivers the classic Trioplan rendering.
This example is in near MINT condition, with hardly any visible wear.
The camera is fully functional, all shutter speeds run smoothly and appropriately for its age.
The lens is free of haze and fungus, showing only light cleaning marks and minimal dust, with no effect on image quality.
Built in 1939, this camera should not be compared to modern TLRs like the Rolleiflex.
We have tested the camera with film – no light leaks.
Important note on film handling:
Due to the simplistic and coarse film transport mechanism, modern, sensitive films may develop fine transport scratches. These scratches tend to appear when scanned with high-resolution modern scanners, but would have been invisible with historical development and printing methods of the 1930s–1950s.
This is part of the authentic character of early TLRs.
The viewing hood is intact, the focusing screen clear, and the magnifier works properly – altogether a charming and historically authentic TLR experience.
