Rollei Prism Finder 45° Viewfinder System 6x6 SLR
Rollei Prism Finder Viewfinder 45° System 6x6 SLR Rolleiflex Hy6 58814 Boxed
The Rollei Prism Finder 45° for the System 6x6 SLR, including Rolleiflex Hy6 cameras, offers comfortable eye-level viewing for precise composition. This particular unit is offered in its original box, in new old stock condition. While unused and originally shrink-wrapped, prolonged storage has unfortunately caused the plasticizer in the material to surface, making the viewfinder's exterior noticeably sticky. Despite this cosmetic issue, its optical and mechanical functions have been thoroughly tested by our team.
Condition
New old stock condition. Unfortunately, due to long-term storage, the plasticizer has released, making the viewfinder's surface very sticky to the touch. It was shrink-wrapped until unpacked for photography. Optically clear with no defects. Fully functional after JBV inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What caused the stickiness on the viewfinder?
- The stickiness is due to plasticizer migration from the material during long-term storage. This is a common issue with vintage plastic items.
- Does the stickiness affect the optical performance?
- No, the stickiness is purely an external cosmetic issue and does not impact the optical clarity or functionality of the viewfinder. Our tests confirm its full optical performance.
- Can the stickiness be removed?
- We do not recommend attempting to remove the stickiness with harsh chemicals, as this may damage the material. It is best to handle it with care.
